This handmade ceramic Kitschy Kup features the ‘Whaler’ design. The whale is very symbolic in these parts, as New Bedford and Nantucket were among the largest whaling ports on the Eastern seaboard throughout the centuries. Whaling put the city of New Bedford on the map and provided many of the creature comforts needed in colonial times. The whale was and will remain a very important part of our local culture and history.
Hand-built from durable stoneware clay, expect some wonkiness! This 14 oz. mug is perfect for a generous cup of morning coffee.
Each piece is individually handmade and glazed in our studio, so no two pieces will ever be exactly the same.
